What to look for in a media wall electric fire

  • Heater noise: many electric fires heat the room with a fan heater, and fans can get noisier as dust builds up. Our deep panoramic fires heat with a near-silent 3kW PTC heater, and the fan only runs to cool the fire. If the fire sits under your TV, that makes a big difference.
  • Real heat output: most fires top out at 1.5 to 2kW. Ours give up to 3kW.
  • Glass: black or dark glass makes the flames look deeper and hides the fire's inner workings. On many fires it's an upgrade or a premium edition; on Econovex and Mayfair fires, black edition glass is standard.
  • Guarantee: check what's included without paying extra or registering. Every Econovex panoramic fire has a 5-year guarantee: 1 year on-site, plus up to 4 more years on parts.
  • Size: choose a fire slightly wider than your TV. See our fire size guide.

Econovex and Mayfair

We sell Econovex and Mayfair fires. Both come with black edition glass as standard, and we've used Mayfair fires for over five years. Our fires are on display in showrooms across the UK, including our own showroom at 260 Thornton Road, Bradford, and we supply and fit them anywhere in the UK through our nationwide installers.

Open-window detection, which switches the heater off when a door or window is left open, is coming on new models.
