Econovex vs Evonic Electric Fires
Evonic is one of the best-known names in UK electric fires. Here's how its Halo media wall fire compares with our Econovex panoramic fires, point by point.
Econovex vs Evonic Halo at a glance
The Evonic Halo is a built-in electric fire that can be fitted 1, 2 or 3-sided, which makes it the closest Evonic match to our Econovex panoramic fires. We've compared the Halo 1800 with our Econovex 1800.

Where Evonic is strong
Evonic has a large dealer network and a wide range of flame styles, and the Halo includes app control with Alexa and Google Assistant. If voice control is top of your list, that's a real plus.
Where Econovex is different
- Twice the heat: up to 3kW from a PTC heater, against up to 1.5kW. That matters if the fire will actually heat the room.
- Quieter heating: a near-silent PTC heater, so you can watch TV with the heat on.
- Black glass included: black edition glass comes as standard on Econovex panoramic fires.
- A clear guarantee: 5 years on every panoramic fire: 1 year on-site, plus up to 4 more years on parts.
Which should you choose?
If you want the biggest heat output and a quiet heater at a set price, the Econovex is the stronger choice. If app and voice control matter most, the Halo is worth a look. Either way, size the fire to your TV: see our fire size guide, or get a supply & fit quote.
